VILLA DEL BALBIANELLO

Villa del Balbianello is a very famous 18th century venue which is property of FAI (Fondo Ambiente Italiano), an organisation that today works on the preservation and promotion of the Italian heritage. It is located on a woody promontory in one of the most beautiful areas of Lake Como, in the small village of Lenno. The villa is surrounded by a lush garden ovelooking the lake with evocative and romantic landscapes. Bride and groom can celebrate their wedding both with a legally binding ceremony or a symbolic one. The bridal party can have access to the villa only by boat. The magnificient Loggia with a view on Isola Comacina is an artistic masterpiece of great value with the marquetry of a Compass Rose on the floor and columns embraced by evergreen climbing plants that give the porch its characteristic allure. There is also a little church that is now a gift shop. From there, you can walk on the beautiful alley that lead to the top of the promontory with trees and statues all along. In this venue, you can also set up the reception party in a bright hall with large glass doors, or on the outside terrace that overlooks the lake under an elegant marquee.
