A sophisticated wedding on Lake Maggiore
A fairy-tale ceremony and a charming reception: the story of a real wedding on Lake Maggiore
The wedding season is officially over and now I can finally come back to the blog to talk about the great experiences I had last months with amazing couples: today I want to tell you something about a sophisticated wedding arranged last June on Lake Maggiore.
The couple was young but with a clear idea in mind of what they wanted: the wedding had to be first of all a party for the guests, informal but classy at the same time with a deep care of details. Quite easy, right?
The selected venue was a villa on Lake Maggiore, not too big but with a great view over the lake (you can find more information here): it was so simple to choose where the ceremony could take place because of the beauty of the location.
The spouses and the guests could look in front of them and see the water, that was magic!
A beautiful wooden arch was decorated with branches of olive trees, peonies and white flowers and so the aisle was. All so natural but sophisticated, a fairy tale decoration!
After an Italian style aperitivo, the dinner was arranged inside the salon of the villa, with round tables for all and a gorgeous centerpiece made up by flowers, grey candles, different crystal glass vases and wooden table numbers. This decoration was delicate and charming.
A surprise during the speeches time was arranged: the groom’s father, the bestman and other friends had worked on a funny video that was shown in the night with pictures and interviews describing the groom over the years. People had good laugh and cried at the same time, it was so touching!
After the dinner all guests were moved to the ground floor, in the Taverna where the cake was cut (a fantastic fruit cheesecake!) and the music played all night long.
